Yes, our tank is cycled.

A cycled tank does not have detectable levels of ammonia. A level of .5ppm is still unhealthy for your fish. You need to be doing enough 50% WCs to keep the ammonia under .25ppm. Also you can treat the tank with prime to detoxify the ammonia, though this will not replace the WCs.

the key for healthy fish is weekly water changes
i have a 220g tank and i do 50% wc every week

my advice to you is before you add med add salt to the tank and raise the temp to about 90 for a week and that will kill the ich
and is healthyer than adding med

Where do you see his aro having ich lol...

OP says the fire eel may have ich, the primary concern is the ammonia. Adding salt with each WC is a good idea. Raising the temp to 90 would not be good for the fire eel.

The Arowana was doing great for a couple of weeks after the 75% water change and now he's back at it again, starting last night. We're doing another water change.

PS. We brought back the Pacu the next day just in case it was causing too much stress for the Aro.

You need to be doing regular weekly water changes, not just a random one every time the aro looks sickly:nilly:
