Arowana with cichlids??

Seriously you need to spend some time in the SA/CA forum learning about cichlids. Likely you'll buy some put them in your tank and they won't bother your aros because they will be too busy kicking the crap out of each other.
At least do some research to figure out what you like, since there are probably 1000 different SA/CAs that you could get.

not saying you should or shouldn't do this, but...i had my jars with african cichlids and african peacocks...they were fine together...now i have also had balas, severums, angels and oscars with that group of africans so your may take some trial and error if you were to go that route...if you are talking about a sa aro i wouldn't do it...you didn't say and your avatar has a jar and discus so i am thinking you have a jar...
i had a jar now i have three silvers and i am doing some research just asking for ideas seeing what you guys have tried
ok...i have done
jd, pbass, severums, oscars, angelfish, ect...i generaly have a disliking for cichlids with anything other then cichlids...their just a bunch of pricks to everything...if you don't mind your aro jumping from them then go for it as it has been said vertualy all of the sa/ca cichlids out there could go in the mix once the aros are of a good size...

hmm thanks for the info, so if i x out the cichilds then what else should i try something that will shoal or be a colony i need something for middle of my tank i have bottom and top swimmers and just make's tank look awkward.
o pacu yeah they are messy same with oscars i thinking i am going with some parrot cichilds and a few mono peackocks alond witha nice set of red hooks i might just go with green terror any one no how many u can keep together i want either all males or females so they dont fight
