I've had aro's with my rays but the only problem i had was getting enough food down to the rays. My aro's were PIGS !!

if you have a ray why wouldnt you want to handfeed anyway? that for me is one of the greatest perks of having a ray is handfeeding

Becuase when you have arowanas biting at your arm, and alot of rays with poisonous stingers going nuts for the food in your hands, something can happen.

I had 4 aro's in that tank and they'd eat my damn hand if i put it in there.. (i had 2 silver, 1 jar, and 1 african aro)
When i did have my hand in the tank i had my kevlar diving gloves on..lol
I used a piece of pvc to get the shrimp to the bottom past the aro's, when they finally figured out they could go to the bottom and snag the shrimp right off the rays heads the aro's had to go.. That was a sad day..

Mike, sounds like you had about 3 too many aro's, thats alot of damn food to fill them guys up so that the rays get some.

i have the same problem with 4 aros. 2 silver and 2 black. i had to hand feed my rays every time. put on the bright side i get to pet my aros and sometime my rays.

I have a 11 inch silver with my 2 rays i work the other way hand feed the arrow while the rays pig out under him

all you need is some cichla for the middle!!!! best combo ever...ARO+CICHLA+RAYS=BEST COMBO in a tank!!!!
