Hi guys,

Yeah when i read ur comments im thinking he might not be able to fit it in his tank (I didnt know it got that big lol)
Any other really cool fish that he might like (that are smaller :P)
He got me seahorses for my birthday (coz whenever we go to aquariums i love watching them lol) so maybe a really cool saltwater fish that could go in the same tank???? I really have nooo idea about this stuff!
thanks all!

You really have to find out how many litres his tank is an whats in it( probably wont like it if it eats all his old fish lol) then I recon youll get a million an one suggestions of what could work. To my knowledge the only mail order site for fish in australia is livefish.com.au (there pretty pricy your best bet is if you see a fish there you think you want go to the local petshop/aquarium an ask them how much they can get you one for)

Alright- How Big is The Tank. We need to know that before we suggest anything besides Zebra Danios and Neon Tetras.

How big is the tank, did he ask for it or is this a surprise cause a surprise fish is bad you dont know if they can care for it..and also if he wants it and can care for it with a proper sized tank depending on what kind you get exactly..but you can get one from the AH-Z outback im sure lol reasearch that part let alone the fish!

Ok guys, so I don't know how many litres it is exactly, but it's only about a metre long and its kinda deep. I can't remember the name of the fish that are in there, but i think theyre blue (not that that really helps)! ALSO he got me seahorses for my birthday and he put the tank together himself, so its kinda OUR tank, so maybe cool saltwater fish that would coincide happily with the seahorses...:S any ideas!
xo thanks

AND it's is a surprise btw... but i know he's always wanted an arowana...and he's like the best fish keeper ever, he works at an aquarium and he used to own 20 + tanks (but he has to sell them when he moved :) now he only has 2...

No, and another fresh water tank with some blue fish in it, and that one is about 2 - 3 meters long and about a meter deep. The salt water tank is about a meter long and wide.

Buy a stuffed fish or a toy fish and wrap it up just as a stand-in for the real gift. When he unwraps it, tell him his gift is whatever he wants from the fish store, then go pick it out together. People who are serious about their fish might be pretty annoyed if you just show up with a fish, or worse, put a fish in their tank without their knowledge.

:iagree:

Give him a gift card to a fish store and then you can go there together and pick out a fish
