Just got out of work and I do my usual routine of feeding my fish. So I open my door to start feeding my arowana starts to trip out so bad for almost 2 minutes I believe. I'm going to check perams but I'm pretty sure everything is going to turn out ok. Any info I should know on why my silver aro does this. I'm kind of scared

At times when they do this you can only just try to avoid any movement around the tank. I had a case where it took a couple days to get my two silvers to calm down, sucked cause the tank was in the bedroom and I had to be there at certain times. Leaving the light off can help too.

Hey thanks bderick I'm going to leave the light off for a couple of days maybe get light not so intense like the fluorescent one i have for it.

Hey man thanks ill try that buy what kind of plant would you recommend. Pictures could help and won't the plants get in the way of the food that would be floating with it when I feed him

Any kind of cheap plastic plants will work. They will cover some area but current will push them and leave open area. Here's a video that shows open water for feeding, probably 75-80% of the tank had suface floating plants.

What we're you wearing? From what I've seen certain colors drive them nuts...red etc.

Well I was wearing black. And today i just got back from the driving range, wearing black he started freaking. But I know it's not the colors. Or could it be?

Probably not black, generally it is red or orange that they don't like.
