Hi everyone this is my first post and I would like to get some advice on an 8ft-2ft-2ft arrowana tank and what would be best filtration to use.
Thanks for any advice

i hate that people keep aros in such small tanks....i've seen 30"ers in 180's (6'x2') and it makes me sick lol...If you have the room i'd go atleast 8'x3' as David R suggested. I house 5 Silver aros in a 650 gallon with 2 overhead sumps and 3 fx5's. The footprint is 9'x4' and its plenty of room for them. They are not skittish at all and rarely ever jump like most people struggle with. The bigger the tank the calmer the aro imo. Read way too many storys of them bailing and jumping when the lights come on. If the footprint you mention is your final decision i would not put in more than 1 aro...even then its pushing it.

man all these haters aros can turn on a dime my aros not skitsh neither i would not put more than 2 but over filtrate do what you want to do though as long as it's not a 20 gal bucket i have mine in a 55 not realy but lets hear the people pipe in

man alot of people tell u stuff because they read it online if they have experence tell them to show u a pic of there set up and then talk

I think one arp would be fine. I know it's not right but my dad used to keep about an I'd say 18-20 inch aro in his 60 gallon. Did very well till we moved.

filtration wise either get it drilled with a sump or get 2-3 fx5's and yeah you really want that tank 3ft wide to keep those aros for the long term.

There is a lot of material in this forum

Do a quick search and you will find it

And wellcome
