I'm not crazy about Thera actually. I prefer the "regular" formulas for daily feeding. I feed Thera with new fish and to condition for breeding.

One piece of contructive criticism I would point out is that you didn't cite any sources or studies at all. At best this makes the article look like it's not very well researched and opinion based, at worst it points to possible plagiarism and blatant inaccuracies. Since you're a biologist and a vet tech and you've obviously had some college education, I assume you know this already. I don't think any of those things, but for future reference you should really cite...

After graduating college and going into a master's program, we learned how important this is.

Still a good read.

My turn to take a stab! Hikari fails compared to NLS in many ways, but lets just talk about healthier ingredient choices. Hikari has MSG in their products.. NLS does not.

Not only does Hikari havr MSG in their products. Some of their foods contain hormones too boost colors. And yes fish may eat more of it, but that is not because of taste it is cause they are trying to get the same amount of nutrition that they can get out of less NLS.

interesting read and thoughts on fish food / diet... although from a purely personal standpoint i still think fish benefit more from variety > just one high quality pellet food...
