artificial driftwood replica

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think for some people that are maybe aquascaping challenged, or don't want to bother looking all over for a good piece of driftwood it would be a great product.
Also, as mentioned, some people don't like the water staining that real driftwood can cause.

For me personally I'd rather have a real piece of driftwood, whether I have to hunt around for it or not, and I kind of like the brownish tint that wood like mopani gives an aquarium :D
Makes it look more natural.

I do know a lot of people that would rather have some kind replica though.

For me, I'd benefit more from a natural looking replica of rocks. I like the way stacked rocks look, and I'm about to make a natural looking rocky enviroment for my shadow bass in a 65g tank, but real rocks displace SO much water and can be very heavy. It's the only thing I hate about them.

I like searching for the right piece, that I know no one else has. However real driftwood has too many qualities in fishkeeping for me to want a replica... MO

hello,
i understand that a lot of us prefer real driftwood, i personally also prefer real driftwood over the 'fake' one. my intention of producing this replica is for people who just started to do fishkeeping and have difficulties in finding or choosing rthe right piece of driftwood.
still, i really appreciated the oppinion though, in my own oppinion, real or not, if we can have a good piece of wood, we can turn it into art in our tank.

Definately lookin forward to seeing the finished product.:D  I really like the first pic. that your thinkin of replicating...
