Can you provide a link to the site where you got the application? I have hard time believing that they would provide the application but no info regarding what is required for possession

A LFS in cypress CA has an RTG and is legally allowed to keep it...just not sell it. theyve had it for over 25 years(supposedly). Im not lying either i have pics of it on my phone it was the first aro I had ever seen.

so you wanted oddball to repeat what he's said in countless threads until you felt satisfied?????

:)
oh you again.... i havent researched your posts but i'd bet that most of them are just as meaningless.

i was unable to find the answers to what i was looking for until after i posted. then a nice individual told me what to search for and then I found it. Even after reading the previous threads, they were very informative but didnt really give any examples of people who tried it. I appreciate oddball touching on this for me, although still no examples of people trying, his info explains why a normal person generally couldnt afford it or even achieve it because they wouldnt have the proper reasoning.

That form is several years old. It's still used (basically) but, the governing agency has since been turned over to the NOAA. F&W will take your application and forward it to the NOAA. ...eventually.

People were mentioning about never hearing any stories about legal Asian Arowanas in the USA after the ban. Back when I was still living in the Bay Area (late 1980's) I had a chat with a Fish Store owner and he said their was a man out of Berkeley who had a 1000 gallon tank with a school of Asain Arowanas (if I recall correctly either Red Tail Golden or Reds) that were brought in before the ban and he had to have a permit for these and was keeping them legally. Anyways if my recollection serves me correctly that is one story of legal Asian Arowanas in the USA after the ban. I always considered it an urban legend.
