asian arowana advice

i don't mean to put a downer on your great com but you will always get fights in a aro com lots of split tails

to tell the truth your tank is to big

your best bet would be to get more aros 9 is a good number in your tank you need to pack them in to make it work

their are a few thing you can try

1. no lights
2. blue moon light
3. more aros
4. lots of mid water fish you would need about 10 large tinfoils
5. more tall wood
6. lots of water flow very strong power heads

i would be looking to buy more aros but even the you have no guarantee

is the chili red the most aggressive ?
 
i dont mind the fighting and split tails as long as it is normal.the red is the only 1 that doesnt get involved and the others dont seem to bother it at all.my tank is only 7x4x2 foot thought i could do with getting them into a bigger 1,is this definitely not too small for them?
 
you could get 9 aros in a tank that size EASY

the red will grow bigger 30-36 inch but the RTG will max out at about 24-28

i would say the RTG are near max size they may grow a bit more but the growth will be slow
 
yeah they are all between 20 24 inch and i may look at getting a couple more if you think my tank is big enough and it might help calm them down.

I don't think there's room for more in there. Not unless you want to get rid of the cats and peacock bass. They all have some growing to do. Those aro's have been together for years already so I'd have thought they would settle down. Maybe try removing all the wood to see if a bare tank changes their behaviour.

It was great to see them in person the other day. Needless to say I'm jealous:D. Thanks for having me round mate.
 
cheers mate your welcome anytime.ill try moveing some things around in the tank and see how that goes,got them some mealworms yesterday and they love them;)
 
they may settle you maybe lucky

i hope it all works out

its only the packed in look that has sort of worked for me but even with 9 i still had problems with fighting

how often do you think i should be feeding these guys?

every day feeding

i was using 1kg of giant meal worms marios per week
