  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've seen a lot of them before from sombody who use to sell them too the expensive one's but that was before he got caught.

I'm sorry but whenever i see ppl with asian arowana it pisses me off.. (In the US that is)

I love the fish to death.. but i would never get it as long as its illegal.... That so unfair to the other Arowana fish keeper in the US....

ANd yes i have seen asian arowana in the US.. in fact some guy is selling one on cragslist for 500 bucks...

can some one point out the point why asian aro is illegal here but not the other aro ..just want to know cause i dont know much about them ...

They are under CITIES means they are endangered species...but asian aros dont look like so endangered species based on color strains.

These fish werent always banned from here, maybe its an old holdover.Whats the life expectancy in captivity?

The thing that bother me is that they are endangered in the WILD yet mass produced on farms...

So if they are mass produced on farms, why are they all illegal?

...or maybe that was your point :(

Then you would have the same concern for species that are extinct in the wild yet produced en masse for the hobby? African cichlid species decimated by the introduction of the Nile Perch come to mind- yet these species are not illegal.
