Asian Arowanas in US

i feel sorry for you americans, onlythings banned here are coldwater crayfish and Northern (chinese) snakeheads. but at the same time you guys get all the cool colour strains and fish shipped from asia

I'm sorry but whenever i see ppl with asian arowana it pisses me off.. (In the US that is)

I love the fish to death.. but i would never get it as long as its illegal.... That so unfair to the other Arowana fish keeper in the US....

ANd yes i have seen asian arowana in the US.. in fact some guy is selling one on cragslist for 500 bucks...

I saw one recently on craigslist, guy was selling it for 2 grand.

No private owner in the US has them legally (to my knowledge).
People are dumb in general, and it only hurt the rest of the hobby. Places that display illegal fish so proudly are on borrowed time when it comes to USFW taking the animal and shutting them place down, while the fish owner ends up sitting in jail.
