asian fighting fish

do you know anything about these fish my lfs says that there like flower horn and that there popular in asia:confused:
 
It's like a flowerhorn or IS a flowerhorn?
 
If it's a hybrid like a flowerhorn, then it's basically a flowerhorn. You'll find your best information in the hybrids forum.

The name the fish store gave you for the fish is not one known in the fish community. A good way to prove that is to simply do a search for Asian Fighting Fish on google.. no hits. Take a picture of your fish and post it in the hybrids section and ask what they think it is. Frem there you should be able to garner info on breeding etc. The name you have right off sends lots of mis-information since there are less than a half dozen native asian cichlids. It's most likely a cross of some CA's and it's a flowerhorn.

ill try and post pics 2morrow he said it has sevrum and true parrot and a few other things in it
 
sounds interesting. anyway, there are members on this board from Singapor and Malaysia who should be able to help when you post pics.
 
here they are i took pics today/////when i started this thread they were white now that there in this tank with other fish as u can see they have turned pink or red what ever u want to call it
