asian for sale at my lfs...

so... i live in california

and my lfs got in a asian arowana today.

it says labeled.

red asian arowana

$48.98

and its about maybe 6 to 7 inches long.

looks pretty cool to me

and i asked a salesperson if i can buy it and he said sure...

so i brought the fish home and he's in a 55 gallon tank for right now...

is it bad that i bought it cuase.. the sales person didnt say anything except just let me buy the fish

sometimes people also add hormones to aros to temporarily give that redish tint.

first off... I don't think it's a red asian aro... no one in their right mind would sell a red aro for 50bux... secondly, I don't see anything wrong with you purchasing the fish... My only concern would be the type of fish you picked up... your LFS may have mislead you and sold you a jardini... put up some pics of the fish and I'm sure we can get a positive ID on him...
