Aren't there more than 2 nandus?

nebulosus
mercatus
prolixus
nandus
oxyrhynchus

Or am I wrong?

Fishbase currently lists 6 species of Nandus, but only 2 are commonly (?) found in the hobby.

N. nandus (8")
N. nebulosus (5")

Both of these have populations in FW and in Brackish.

The other 4 are only found in FW

N. andrewi (5")
N. mercatus (3")
N. oxyrhynchus (3")
N. prolixus (no size given)

so can both live in a tank with a sg of 1.010?

I have kept N. Nandus with other more tolorent brackish water fish such as Puffers, Monos, Archers, and a Fire Eel. From my experience they can only handle a sg 1.005. They seem to do well with Puffers or my personel fav Chromides. Chromides to me are the best choice, but they are even hareder to find than the N. Nandus.

TFD had N. nandus recently not sure if they still do
