"More About Big Bird
Big Bird is a big albino Burmese python---he is about 6 feet long now, and will grow MUCH larger.
He is not quite ready to go yet, because we want to get a few meals in him first to make sure he is eating well, but we are taking applications at this time.
For fastest response, please email sonja_pups@comcast.net
Sorry, absolutely no shipping."

Maybe for cats and dogs. But when I search reptiles all I get is an adult red eared slider. Maybe its just me but I don't think a breeder would dump their juvi reptiles off for free at the ASPCA.

It's not a place for "good" breeders. It's usually a place where worthless keepers and "breeders" (someone that happens to have a pair of something breeds in their possession) dump or have them taken from them. I categorize impulse buys and dumps, etc as worthless as well. Then you have the few exceptions like the aro said above. You don't look at them like it's a retail store, you look at it as saving lives. If you just happen to find something you've actually been interested in, great! Bonus!

im a huge advocate for adopting pets. i will NEVER buy a dog, cat, bird etc from a petstore. i buy my fish from breeders. its just ridiculous that ppl pay a few grand for a puppy when the pound has puppies and dogs that need love..

I know!
I made my LPS so mad, they sell puppy mill dogs, and this man with his children were going about buying a little white schnuazer for $800.
I pulled him off to the side and said in a slightly carrying voice that there was a pure bred white schnauzer PUPPY with his ears cropped at the pound about to be euthanized.
MAN he left as quick as he could to get up there, a $149 fee that includes ALL shots, micro chipping, spaying and saving a life is pretty good compared to an $800 puppy mill donation with one set of shots and bad breeding.
