So if guns were banned every gun enthusiast would give them up, not go down shooting? Maybe the upstanding citizens of the NRA are not activists, but then again PETA isn't being referred to as a respectable organization. Now i'm sure neo-nazi's and KKK members defend, and would perhaps act in defense of the second amendment. Especially if in a hypothetical situation where a colored politician threatened it. But what do i know

Also, implying PETA has a connection to ALF cannot be substantiated. And quoting a website like petkillsanimals.com or whatever is just nonsense. The only thing PETA is legitimately known for is celebrities, money, advertisement, and headlined making campaigns.

It seems far fetched because the law could have been laid down quick to get this idiot out of his store. I don't really believe that the fish and wildlife would come out and give a seal of approval to satisfy a crazy individual. They would have referred it to, or suggest some police action. I just don't see them getting a call saying "please approve of my setup for my pet lizard so i can satisfy someone acting for PETA."

So youre comparing fighting for rights granted to you by the Constitution that would be illegally taken away from you to fighting for the protection of fish from fisherman or those evil carriages from horses? :screwy:

Regarding the KKk and neo-nazis...WTF are you talking about? Why do people like you always have to throw the race card out there and make totally unrelated comments about the KKK and other groups?

Face it, youre reaching but not grabbing anything here.

Hypothetical was the key word....on top of that the constitution can be amended so being illegal has nothing to do with it. Again, hypothetical. You compared apples to oranges with PETA and the NRA. So i gave an example of extremists. The race card is appropriate with those two groups as well, so shoot it down but its relevant.

Nevermind...i'll just go spew out some unsubstantiated claims about the NRA now anyways. Also...what mockery can you make you of an anti war protest?

You were the one that compared activist gun owners to PETA members, not me.

When was the last time on the news you saw an NRA sponsered event get out of hand or cause problems? What about one of its members, in the name of their belief, deface private property like pouring paint on a fur coat? NRA, race card? WTF? Do you think before you talk?

A anti-war protest where a dummy of an American soldier or the US flag is burned, an anti-war protest that wishes harm upon the troops or commander in chief, an anti-war protest that interferes with recruitment initiatives where people VOLUNTARILY sign up are protests I would gladly do my part to hope those people go home feeling ashamed of themselves. I could go on and on....

Go to youtube and look up the pro-hamas rally in florida. If that doesnt burn you up with chants such as "send the jews back to the oven" and "death to israel and America" IN AMERICA then...well I cant say what I want to say. Also funny to note that man of the pro hamas protestors supporting "change."

I am done, weve derailed this enough.

I brought in guns, because every other thread here is about guns its common ground. Since it appears most here think PETA are so extremely radical...as if they are the forefront of ridiculous activism.
You brought in the NRA, not me i only pointed out that PETA and the NRA can't be compared. I never tied the NRA to race, i gave other examples.
