Thanks guys!
Rays have been with the goonches for a month, qnd they have definately sparked something in the cats, probably competition for food cause the cats have become very active in getting food ... its sucks cause the rays eat slowly and in my attempts to keep them well fed, the cats are eating a ton, and thats no good considering how big th3y are already .... but I've learned a few tricks and now feed the rays as soon as I turn on the lights or during a waterchange since the cats are a little off balance and dont come over to the ray side right away ... seems to be working for now .... I mostly feed pellets but also shrimp and scallops for the cats since its bigger and less nutrient packed than the pellets to try and limit th3 growth a bit
And I agree blk, these cats are risky and every time I turn on the lights I breath a sigh of relief when I see everyone still in 1 piece .... but I love the cats too much to ever consider getting rid of them .... they are an awesome fish, both beautiful and powerful ... would be a nice addition to your tank for sure albeit a little risky
