ATF id please

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sry.. I will try to get better pics soon.. gotta train it to stop moving first tho

I have no idea what kind of ATF this is.. I just know it's not a VATF or a GATF!

It's definitely a batf or fatf, but it's not a big boss hoss Nigerian quasi-gatf, either. We'll get it ironed out. :)

Well I haven't seen any tail tearing action yet. Hopefully I don't because he is in an all predator tank with expensive mates

I have several decent sized Tatf here. I think they look different, I don't think the fish in this thread is Tatf. I also don't think it would be getting picked on if was a Tatf..... lol.

Try this, Vince:

Shine a flashlight or something through the front of the tank, so that when he comes cruising by, the light will shine off of his scales and let me count the scales between the LL and the pelvic fin. It's gonna be the only way that I can tell for sure.

He's a fairly large fish and fairly thick, which right off the bat makes me think brevis, but he simply doesn't LOOK like a brevis to me. The head is to small. I hesitate to make a firm decision on this, given the circumstances. Especially Co sidering the fact that we've seen pretty much NO large FATFs in the hobby, I'm not really sure what one would look like in-tank.

C Chicxulub are these pics clear enough for you to count the scales?
