I AM TOTALLY SHOCKED AT THE LACK OF GONADS THE DUDES WHO ARE DADS ON THIS SITE HAVE
It is a very worrisome thing to me that out of all the members on this site that a thread like this has no response from any of the dads. To this end I ask what kind of father does not jump at the chance to show off their kid to the world, especially in regards to their kids being involved in such a great hobby.
I feel to relate a story.
When I used to serve tables part time, there was a young family who was done and they were leaving. The little 2-3 year old was skipping to the music she reached to her mom and mom held her hand and started bopping to the music with her. Then this sweet little girl looked up at her dad with such excitement in her starry filled eyes that I can not put it into words. She then reached out to take his hand filled with a great hope that dad was gonna join in just like mom. Then the worst thing happened.
Dad reacted as if his daughters hand was that of a leper, totally shrunk within himself and recoiled from this little girl. The look that came over the little girl was horrifying to me and all I could do was shake my head inside at the thought of what had just happened. The mother did not even notice it but the little girl did, she was totally hurt like all the spirit went out of her and she sort of stopped her joyful skip and shuffled the rest of the way out.
All I could think of was buddy when she turns 12-15 years old you are going to regret being this kind of father.
All this being said here is a quote for all you dads out there.
ANY MAN CAN FATHER A CHILD, BUT, IT TAKES A REAL MAN TO BE A DAD!!
