I will be joining since there I set my kid up for a long life of fishkeeping even before he was born. I custom designed my tank and installed it in the wall that divides my living room and his room. That's right I have a 280 gallon tank which serves a a viewing window into his room! When he was a baby we would look through the tank to check on him while he was sleeping. He is 2 and a half years old now and has to say goodnight to the fish before he goes to bed each night. I recently switched from salt water to fresh with stingrays so no pics yet since the conversion.
There was one HUGE downside to doing this...it seems he always watched the fish everynight until he fell asleep and now when we go out of town he has trouble sleeping. I feel his pain I miss the fish when we are away also.
