justink was just banned for two user names..... is this against the written mfk rules ??? is it bad ??? does it do harm ???


what is the deal and where are the rules posted so everybody can follow them without fear of an arbitrary banning ???

i thank you john for posting this... i was not aware of these circumstances and was randomely deleted from this site.. yes i did have 2 accounts my other one was "recs" as many people would know. i understand and forum is going to have regulations and rules of what is allowed but at no point was i ever warned or pm'ed by any mods regaurding this situation previous to being banned. i think as a "community" of fish keepers to out of the blue ban a member without forewarning is unfair.. ive been noticing recently viewing this site as a guest that many members are being banned even the person who loves this site the most"bogwood" had been banned.. i feel that if we are going to be a community of fish keepers there should be some system of warning without banning and letting the user know of the situation.. banning people without warning may scare off users to this home and community we call "mfk". i know i am not a mod but i feel situations such as these should be delt with differently. and this is in the nicest way it could possibly be put so lets not turn this into a huge argument.. just my 2sence.. glad to be back on..

You were warned when you checked "i agree"

9 times out of 10 multiple warnings are given. If you saw what goes on behind the scenes you would look at it differently. Hell, someone mentioned in your previous post had SEVERAL warnings. We don't like banning people, but sometimes it's the only way to get the point across.

LOL, true. To be a member, you have to acknowledge that you understood the rules. If you didn't bother reading them and checked "I agree" to get it over with, it's nobody's fault but your own if you get infracted or banned.

Now, why is it that shallot got banned and I received 20 points worth of infraction?
