I bought 3 small flowerhorns at LFT aloha few days ago with $30 each bargain price, thinking FH will stimulate my pbass to swim around instead of gathering at one spot.
WRONG, look at them now. all my pbass were tranced to one side of the tank plus one of them laid tons of eggs this afternoon. Are you kidding me? Are they precocious? I have never heard or seen FH at this size can lay eggs? Maybe they are not flowerhorn.

flowerhorns are the worst tank mates that you could of possibly bought imo and since you put the with shy kelberis i think it was an even worse idea. i always found flower horns to be a bully of a fish and love to pick on tankmates.

i dunno boost when i saw his tank they were fine together no fights anything not trying to tell you wrong but i didnt see nothing go on territorial wize or by plain agressivness. i think the sheer number of fish he has makes them less aggressive.

possible or they are still small. mjunior recently tried to to add a flowerhorn with his 2 big monos and i think some other kind of fish, i forgot what it was, and it didn't work out. i have had flower horns in the past.. all the FH i have ever had did best by themselves if you know what i mean. i have to say those are some nice FH that he has though especially for their size.

wow. i have been visiting the cichla forum more and more lately due to the arrival of kelberis. i am in awe. these are truly a gorgeous cichla. i am ready to sell every fish i own to get one.

maybe there aggressivness increases as they mature? im not expert with Fh but that would be my guess.
