one of my two female auratus has a bulge in her neck area. shes being chased around a lot more by male auratus then the other female gets chased.

i havent seen her eat today but i never really payed attention to whether she ate or not until recently.
i noticed the bulge on her neck about a week ago but again i havent payed attention to it so i dont know if she was like that all along. the bulge isnt like a hard lump. it still moves as she breathes.

my auratus is only about 3 inches and 3.5 inches max. i added 3 male auratus about a week ago and moved two of them out due to aggression. i noticed the lump the next day.

ok i decided to strip her and 11 fry came out. they all have their egg sacs still. i did it with no research and now i dont know what to do with the fry.
do they need a filter running, heat, anything???

is it required at my stage because theyre heads and tails are already out and they can wiggle and sorta spin by themselves.

just live the fry alone. as long they're moving in my experience I did'nt use a tumbler. after the sac are gone you can feed them a crush feeds. auratus are slow growing malawi cichlids...

ok the fry are getting circulation and i think they are able to move themselves around to avoid fungus.
my question now is how long will it take for my female to regenerate her eggs so she can breed again? and the male to get his sperm back?
and will the male mate with my other female thats in the same tank?

Yep if they can move just put them in a fry net in there own tank so no one will eat them... When the are small keep them in the fry net so you can make sure they find food when they get a little bigger let them free in say a 10 and keep going up as the get bigger. (Don't keep them in too small a tank for very long or else you will cause stunting.)

As for the female in as little as a month, though usually it is more like 3 months. And yes the male will mate with whoever he can... (And the male has a no wait policy, that is why we strip often because the males will harass the female trying to get them to do it again when they are still holding.)
