haha yeah tell me bout it, although i just bought a twin turbo 6 cylinder toyota soarer!! totally stock...already getn quotes on exhaust system and custom gauges! hehe

I thought cars were really expensive in Australia, and they were very restrictive about what you are allowed to do to them, which is why most modified cars are 1.3L hyundi's with huge chrome wheels and massive sterios.

Thats a good motor in the soarer, do a conversion to a big single turbo, should be able to get 500hp on stock internals comfortably. :headbang2

they arnt all that expensive but they do restrict what younger drivers ( P plater's ) can drive ie no superchargers or turbos (unless its on a diesel ) and no V8s etc

this is why i have a motorbike  ( though the laws have since changed about getting a motorbike when your a P plater )

Not really ;)

Have a few mates with hot imports, R33 GTR, Liberty B4, Toyota Aristo, and none of them were really that expensive considering what you get for your money.

I do believe New Zealand is cheaper (what can be learnt from High Octane, bloody Kiwis :p)

Yeah its nearly too cheap. You can pick up an evo1/2 or wrx or GTiR for next to nothing these days, tick it up with a dodgy loan company at 30% interest, cut the springs and install a home made boost tap and you've got an instant death-trap.

you only need 2 wheels to achieve this :D

Doesn't stop them blaming car drivers or 'cagers' as they call us for all of their accidents, apparently weaving through traffic at 20-30km/h over the speed limit is for safety!

bump!!!

and i finally got my soarer!! i'll post pics of it soon! twin turbo 2.5ltr 6!! stock as a rock atm!! but not for long mwahaha!!
