Hi All

I'm in Kalgoorlie WA. Gave up on most of the little ones and got right into the tankbusters.
Have 2 8x2x2 with Red Tail Cat 50cm, Gold Clown Knifefish 45cm, Toga (Leich) 35cm, Oscar 28cm, Giraffe Cat 28cm, two plecs @ 20cm and a featherfin given to me by a mate.
Just bought an 2nd hand 8x3x3, which needs a reseal, and will be a good home for the larger guys.
Also have a small 4 footer with Peppermints, L333's, L134's and two Goldspot plecs growing before going in with the big ones.

Mighty hard trying to find exotics in WA. Always cruising QLDAF looking for that something special to fly over.

Cheers

Hi there,

I'm from Sydney. I've been keeping fish on and off for many years - mainly natives. I even crashed the odd ANGFA meeting, which at the time were being held in Sydney Aquarium (Darling Harbour).

My current tank is housing a juvenile Coal Grunter, which has some Tentpole Creek Banded Rainbows as company, until the nastyness starts to happen.

It could be a while before I house anything larger than a Coalie (having limited $$$), but I'm rather happy with what I have atm.

Cheers :-)

Hey benderbits

Thanks for the feedback
Am I reading right that RTC's are considered exotic over there? I was of the assumption that most of the RTC's in Oz were coming out of QLD?

The same is thought by many in WA as QLD has the right temperatures etc to breed?

G'day all, i had no idea there were so many of us Aussies on MFK.

I think ive already posted on here but incase i didnt i keep African cichlids and am from Brissy, how many from Brisbane here now?

Cheers-

Dazz

I know of a few RTC's for sale here but they are all big ones that people can no longer care for but still want big bucks for.
These guys mite be too big to fly....

I also don't think you will find em in shops, not sure of the legalities of that, but there are a few around in private sales. No law against that yet...

I will post some pics of my crowd soon.

Im from sydney and currently building my 500 gallon tank gunna cost me about 5k finished . Not including the fish . Silver aro's down here are about 500 bucks a new born so things aren't cheap
