Won't the Jardini eat the other tank mates?
The jardini might try to eat the barcoos and maybe the kuhlia if it gets big enough, the other fish will all grow large enough to not be snacks. Even the barcoos and kuhlia are full bodied fish of good size so aren't likely to be eaten.

And if anyone says the sailfin is not from ausralia just say it is a naturalized citizen.

AAAHAHA!
Thats a good one! :D
Yeah i think i'll go with the Jardini, Grunters and Perch, and the Pleco, i always wanted a BIG pleco, and now will be my only chance!
Im going to look around and see which grunters etc are available and get back to you in a couple of minutes!

okay golden perch grow way to big. basically if you want freshwater:

7xAustralian Bass.for a 7 foot 6 for a 6foot.
1x Jardini.
1x Silver Perch.
3x Salmon tail cats.
1x Flathead goby.

Basically you can keep toxotes chaterus in freshwater but they would not grow big enough. You can keep MJ in freshwater but would eat everything. As much as a pleco isnt australian there is no Large australian algae/bottom feeder. i would personally add 1-2 large plecos.

If you wanted a solitary tank you can have:

either

1x MJ

or

1x One grunter. there are many different grunters. pm Gruntaz for info. he know lots about em.

If you wanted a Brackish tank:

Either:

8xSilver scat
8x Mono
5x Toxotes jaculator
5xToxotes Chaterus.

Or:

3x Bream
3x Tarwhine
1x Flathead goby
4x Aussie Bass
6x Whiting
1x Flathead sandy, dusky other type of flatheaad.

Oh and you can keep native crays in freshwater or saltwater. buy them as feeders and grow them up.if you do change them from fresh to brackish do it over a period of a week.

Also a good tank size is 7footx30inch widex30inch high. shame you dont live in bribane i could get you the glass tank for 800Au

hows ur silver perch gettin along with the bass? ive tried to mix but mine have always stressed the bass too much (i didnt keep more than one) that same perch ended up bullying a red devil twice its size. but it ended up dead after i introduced some spangled perch.

do u think a sooty grunter and a jardini would get along? ive seen jardini with dovii, but ive seen dovii with red devil which get owned by sooties. ive never kept a jar and thinking of getting a new tank shortly and thinking about this mix

my SP is doin great well the two are. theyre always hiding in the rocks and the bass is out and about and hes 3x smaller then them. i had 2 bass one died. it wasnt eating at all from the day i got it. the new one is half the other ones i had and hes eating heaps. he looks real nice. like i said b4 thoose combos are tryd n tested.
