There are two kinds of Australian Aros. Jardini and Leichardti. They both get to a maximum of 3 feet but most probably won't reach that size. The Jardini is supposed to be the most aggressive of arowanas. Jardini is by far the more common variety of Australian aro. Make sure the aro has a rounded tail and not a tapered tail. Much less valuable Silver and Black arowana have tapered tails.
