hes actually pretty calm... not too aggressive but i have no idea what other tank mates i should put inside... i like it with a lot of space if you know what i mean

yea a oscar will get killed when the jar grows up passt 20 inches long. get some cave type things and get more bichirsand or larger types of catfish.
I'd forget the tankmates especially as your arowana is a jardini. Tankmates are trial and error. You could try a bichir but supply several retreats just in case and a spare tank for it if the attempt fails. Come to think of it, how big is your Jardini? Cuz for my fish, whatever i dump in there that's smaller, they think it's food! And yes, it was my bad that I fed them feeder fish at one time, now they got more aggressive, but wutever you add, might want to watch out!

What do you feed that guy? I had one years ago that outgrew it's tank and had to give him/her away. Very sad moment for me.
