Are you sure about the pricing? Anyway, I dun think asia aro is legal in aust....

And you forgot to throw in the freight cost as well... All and all it's not gonna be as cheap as you mentioned.

Any luck yet?

I just picked up a silver aro at 12cm for $250 - already feeding on hikari food sticks.

The seller is located in Bondi - only 3 left. PM me for contact.

He maybe able to ship Australia wide - at your expense.

asian arows are illegal on oz for now. have been since 1982 when they were declared a CITES species. anything young here is illegal. silvers are around, some say they are being bred here. possible i guess but it would surprise me if it were true, not that they are too hard, but i know a lot came in from overseas over the years as small ones.. there are a fair few being offered even now at juvenile sizes.
silvers are illegal too, unless the parent fish came in legally. we have an onus of proof being placed on the owner to prove that the fish came from both legal parents.
i doubt many people could show the brood fish were legal imports with documents.
i dont think anyone has been asked to prove this though. this rule will probably be changed in the coming years. the government will firm up whats legal or not. some may be found noxious and not be allowed to be bred or traded even if they came in legally at some time.

as for motoros, there are plenty around. they are being bred by hobbyists in good numbers, and a while back it was claimed that about 10 pairs came in legally. i doubt it very much because you cant see any mention on the government websites but i guess now people can say they thought they are legally being bred and offered here.

if busted you need to be reckless to the fact or have a good reason for breaking the laws. a published story in a newspaper saying that ten pairs of rays came in would be good enough reason id think. hundreds of rays get sold each year. maybe four times that many. hundreds of silvers too.
