The initial post with the calculations is BS and inaccurate. But it can be a good learning thread. I understand that people won't divulge sources and secrets but I think it would be cool to learn the basic process of catching a wild caught fish and shipping it to the states.
 
I agree - understanding the steps in the process would put an end to lots of doubt and speculation. Look forward to hearing from Gage!

At least the initial calculation was based on data...and more data would make it more accurate.

The main problem I see here is you have no way to account for the rarity of a certain fish driving up prices. To get an accurate equation you either need a lot more data or actual importing costs, otherwise you're just taking a shot in the dark.
