So I was driving down a road in my friends neighborhood when i passed a house that had been forclosed and the bank had hired a few people to move all the stuff the people that previously lived there left behind. At first they had just old furniture. And when I was leaving, i saw 2 MASSIVE (well massive in my eyes lol) tanks sitting out in the trash heap!

So i stopped and asked if i could take the tanks. They said it was fine so i proceeded to take the bigger of the 2 tanks and put it into my trunk. I wasnt going to take the 2nd one cause i didnt think i would have a need for another big tank. But im extremely glad i decided to even look at it. Now its about 27*F outside here in Northern Virginia, so its really no place for TURTLES!!!!! i looked in the bottom and these people just emptied the water out of this tank and left 3 LIVE TURTLES IN THE BOTTOM!!!!

I had no choice to take the tank. i know nothing about turtles and had to call petco(rash decision, didnt know who else to contact) to see if it was ok to put them in my bathtub for a little. Im not sure if they are sick or anything but they seem to be fine swimming around and being really activee

Now i would love if yall could help me identify these cute little suckers! :)

Cool. I wish i could find free tank's lol.
Most of the tanks that I have were throwaways and were in good condition.I even found a box turtle on the way home one day(inner city)...Good save by the way,I'm no turtle expert but the darker one looks to be a painted turtle and the other two might be red ear sliders?

any guaranteed identifications?? i think the one is deff a painted. but not sure.

and these tanks are in great condition. i really would like to take the plastic rim off of them. me and my dad plan on building 2 nice stands for them.

Later this week im gunna post pics of my catfish that i need to relocate into the new tank. which one should i use for him?? Tank 1 or Tank 2?? he is about 8 inches long now and unfortunately while i was away at college he let him grow in a 10gall and now he's WAY to big for it.

that is a sweeet story love it
