I'm not completely sure about the sterlet, judging from their natural habitat I would say that is a stretch. Shovelnose, Scaphirhynchus platorynchus, can live in the high 70's fairly easily but do better in the mid to low 70's. Not many fish really need to be in the 80's. The sturgeon in Florida probably encounter temps in the mid 80's part of the year but I am sure they don't live in it all the time. The shovelnose is the best choice for a captive sturgeon but good luck finding one. On the west coast white and green sturgeon come up for sale with some regularity but they are really cold water fish for the most part.
