Im no nutritionist but i would think based on the ingredients that Hikari is better. What exactly is Fish Powder anyway? (main ingredient in AZOO)

Anyway I am aware the AZOO is like $20 for a gallon of food compared to maybe $20 for a few ounces of the Hikari. So im my opinion AZOO is better lol.

My Damn Aworana only eats Fresh Krill and live fish anyway. Spoiled brat wont take to sticks ( I have a bag of untouched Hikari)

Which ones do the fish like better?

If your aro are is still young both pellet brands are the same to get your are to eat the pellets.

If your aro is older and not used to the pellets 9.5 times out of 10 the hikari sticks will be more easily accepted. Doesn't mean the is going to take them straight away. Sometimes it can take weeks of slow introduction. In fact I have never not been able to get a mature arowana to eat hikari pellets. It's not just azoo, it's practically every other brand I have had issues with. Maybe if I starved the fish out for weeks or months on end things would be different, but I'm not prepared to do that.

thanks for the info, yes I'm trying to get my aro on pellet but have problem deciding on which one yet. based on what you said that Hikari is more attractive to aro than Azoo. my aro is 6" maybe 7" hope it's not too late.

At 6-7" it's still small and you have a good chance at taking any brand.

Don't try and starve your fish out for more than a few days at this age as it is still young and unlikely to have built up the body fat storage levels required for long intervals of non feeding. Feed it what it likes and throw it pellets to supplement it's diet.
