have you tried freeze dried krill?
how big is your silver?

Old thread, I know but better than starting a new one. I got my Arowana about 4 months ago at about 5 inches long. I bought the Azoo Arowana sticks because I didn't know for sure that it was going to accept pellets and I didn't want to spend too much money. My Arowana did accept the Azoo so I was happy. I started feeding it shrimp which it gladly took. Still eats the Azoo but not as willingly as the shrimp. In the four months I've had it it's now at about 13" :headbang2. Almost finished the Azoo so I ordered the Hikari food sticks to compare. Size-wise the Azoo is quite a bit bigger than the Hikari. They're slightly longer and significantly fatter. I really didn't think that the Hikari would be so thin, they really are little sticks. I haven't fed the Hikari to my aros because I want to finish the Azoo. I wish Hikari would sell the jumbo carnisticks in the 2.2 lb. size because that stuff is EXPENSIVE ! In the end, I like the shrimp best and so do my aros.

Hey it's great that your aro is eating them pellets. Been trying to feed my 4in baby jar pellets. The place where i bought it from were feeding it live shrimp. I initially fed it live mealworms. It hasn't been taking the pellets for 2 nights now.

Hikari is a reputated brand and has more ingredients..But hikari doesnt have spirulina and ceratanoids,These are really importand especially ceratanoids as it enhances the gold colour in arowana"s.

I think it does mention something about carotenoids. None about spirulina though.
