B. Bagarius, B. Yarelli

Well I'm certainly interested in your results. I was put off by them because they refused to send me a picture of the actual fish, and just referred me to the aquabid listing (which I had already found on my own) for a pic. I realized upon looking at the aquabid that it probably wasn't a true Bagarius, and since I couldn't get a pic of the actual fish, decided not to risk it.

I am eagerly awaiting pics of your fish though! If it is a Bagarius, I'll probably get one too. :)
 
you don't think tfd makes mistakes? Come on..........true yarrellis cost more than 6 bucks. You want a real one hit up All Happy a vendor here and Fugupuff, they can get in TRUE yarrellis.

Those are the ones I've been talking to, as well as Massive Aggression. We'll see. :)
 
a pm'd all happy and he never got back to me. I have no doubt tfd makes mistake, but its only 7.50 so i figured why not gie it a try. If it gets over a foot i know what i got, if it doesnt, well then i know who to contact.
 
I purchased a "marble devil cat" from TFD when they had them in stock a couple of months ago. They had "B. yarrelli" as its latin name. It seemed to be healthy on arrival, but only survived a few days. While I had it, I took a halfway decent photo of it (actually looking at it, maybe a quarterway decent) and I'll try to post it.
I'm thinking its not a Bagarius yarrelli, but don't know enough about the taxa to really make an accurate ID.

definitely not a bagarius. If I want a real monster, I'm not gonna mess around growing up a fake one wasting time and all that. I would rather spend the money and not have second doubts if the one I have isn't a real yarelli.
 
yea not a bagarius, either way i think its a cool lookin cat, and if turn out not to b a yarrelli, ill give it to my dad, cuz he like the smaller cats, and get myself a yarelli
 
dude you need to get over to the All-Happy thread with the pics, they have real yarrellis for $80, but only one left now....
 
yea i got over there, the total for everything for me would be 150+ and i just aint got the money right now with going to school and all, i even had to cancel the order to TFD cuz i had to fix my g/fs car and buy some books
