Just threw in a group of 15 Buenos Aires tetras into my 150 g to join my 2 giant danios. Two of them got gobbled up immediately by the bifa before they all learned to school together. Now noone seems to care about them except for the RTBS. Hoping these guys survive the night at least...haha.

I did the same thing with my Xiloaensis pair in my 150 and they lasted about a week haha. good luck man.

That Jag looks a bit too intrigued....

My money is on the jag. Would be cool if it works out for you. You should post updates with just numbers like a countdown lol.

Lol. Yeah not a bad idea. So far still only 2 gone after the initial 5 minutes and the rest have been in there for 2 hours.

That's actually a freddy 'la ceiba' I believe and not a jag. He's actually never really been interested in live fish. I've put guppies in there before and the only ones that went for them were my bifa, syn and the convicts. He tends to stay near the bottom of the tank and hasn't shown interest in the tetras yet. I'm hoping the tetras learn from the giant danios on how to stay alive in this tank...I've had them in there for almost 2 years now. :D

Giant danios are the only fish I can keep alive with my Centrals. I have tried BA tetras and rainbowfish. All were eaten in a few days. One of my danios has a half-circle chunk missing from its belly from a Freddy bite, but it healed up nicely.

I ahve had good luck keeping BA tetras with larger cichlidls. The Jag may be too much for them. I keep mine with True parrots, Syns, Nics, and Green Terrors.

12 hours later...15 down to 5.

Forgot to mention I also have a 9-10 inch gold dust bichir (p. Buettikoferi) in there. It hasn't come out of its hiding spot yet but I bet it has a pretty full belly this morning...looks like this experiment isn't going to last long. Dang it.

That sucks. How about something bigger like silver dollars or tinfoil barbs?
