the point of dither fish is to allow shy fish to come out and also to minimize or reduce aggression. if you want to feed your fish live fish that's one thing. like it was pointed out earlier, the cruelty comes in keeping fish in the confines of an aquarium knowing full well and expecting that they will be eating and not giving a crap about it.
to each their own.

I get what you're saying but the op did nothing of the sort. He was adding the fish and hoping they could coexist together. If you think about it (and I have numerous times) keeping fish in any size aquarium can be considered cruel but we do and just try to create the most natural and best coditions for them. Glad to see you got them out of there op. Pray for my congo's lol.
