if one of those res is a female, you're going to need about 120 gallons for it with 3x filtration(filtration rated for a t least 360 gallons) . get some vegetation in that diet. res consume a lot of vegetation in the wild. what's the current set up like? is the water heated? what's filtering that water? also, what kind of lighting are you using?

i currently have my little guy (4 inch baby common snapping turtle) is a 55 gal (soon to be 240). water temps is 78 deg. for filtration i have an aquaclear (ac) 20, ac 200(now known as ac 50) and an ac 110. both smaller ac's have ac70 impellers, which flow 300 gph in an ac70. for lighting there is a 48" exo-terra repti-sun 5.0 uv-b tube (my snapper actually basks regularly!) and 2 walgreens brand 'enhance (natural daylight bulbs)' incandescents for heating the air above the water level, and aesthetic lighting.

Fermales: short front claws, bigger then males and small tail, vent closer to shell margin. Males oposite, will take about 2 years to make a good gess on their sex
