Hey Everybody,

I'm new to the site, and would like to say hello before getting down to buisness. I'm HurricaneForce, i have two tanks at my house and two at my school. I keep both fresh and salt water, and have 2 twenty gallon tanks at home, and a ten and a ninety al at the school. I just purchased a baby Arow, about 4 inches long, ive tried small guppies, black worms and floating carnivore sticks. He may have eaten a few of the carnivore sticks, but I'm not totally sure. Could anyone recomend techiniques to settle the little guy in, and what i should try to feed him? Thanks alot in advance,
~HurricaneForce

Welcome.

If the aro is past the delicate yolk sack stage, you can try freeze dried Plankton, feeder guppies, small shrimp.

ditto above^

Yeah- thats what i thought would be best. I've tried black worms, but he just doesnt seem to go for them. I've owned him a total of about three days, in which ive brough the little guy home, saw two fish that were perfectly healthy the afternoon before dead in the tank, kept him in there for a night, then brought him into school.(I've since done a 60 percent water change in my home tank, and now everyone seems healthy and vibrant) He's currently with two axolotls, who love the black worms, but everything ive added so far havent really been responded to. I'll try to get into the school this weekend, but otherwise I'll try some blood worms on monday. Thnx alot guys. I've heard that Arowanas become able to recognise their owners as they grow up, if this is true, how should i start with my little guy to get him to "know" me?

I used to feed mine with small chiclid pellets....

I'll Definitely give that a shot. Can anyone recomend a good book I can buy on Aro care? I'd Like to have something I can use for quick reference. Thanks,

Could I possibly feed my Aro with gecko pellets made out of flys enriched with protien and nutrients? I hope so, I have about 3 containers and no more geckos :). Thanks alot.
