that seems to be the same case over here in toronto...i went to my local fish store and saw 30 to 40 baby arows...The guy told me they were black arows but i wasn't convinced so i went home to research and found that many people even interenet sources call silver arows when babies black arows , i'm not sure if they are also called blacks when older however i read one thing that stated the common name for black arowannas is silver arowanna...so there must be another common name for the true black arowanna......Not sure however, i'm just regerjatating what i have read.

forget what you read :D a silver aro is called a silver aro, a black is called a black. One isn't the common name of the other. Though sometimes you might see adult black aro being called 'blue aro'.

i'm not sure why your lfs call baby silver 'black aro', i'm guessing they mis-ID them due to the slight black coloring on the baby silvers.

I hate to say it, but those are silvers. I'd say it's still a decent deal for lfs silvers though. Mine just got in a few with yolk sacks that were listed for $30. I would suggest seeing if they'll hold them for you though until they absorb the rest of their yolk sacks before bringing any of them home though. Good luck.

GET A FEW OF THEM YOU CAN MAKE MORE MONEY LATER.... POST SOME PIC'S IF YOU DO GET THEM....:headbang2 :headbang2
