Surely duck tap is toxic to fish if the sticky bit enters the water

If you have holes drilled for the pipes then just the glands bulk heads electricians uses to lock cables into place they are pvc and much stronger and safer than duck tape

If you have corner cutouts cut a sheet of acrylic to fit around the pipes tight

Duck tape is what's known in the trade as a cowboy fix

just use pvc closed caps and bulkheads

Finally eating some frozen bloodworms.... Eats about 4 2 different times per day for a total of 8... I know that's barely anything. At least it's eating

I'm on day 5 with my 3" Lei (posted in a separate thread). I'm also feeding frozen bloodworms and they love that stuff. I'm no expert on this but 8 worms I think that's a good start and gives him good protein. You'll see that it may start to eat more as the days go by and he becomes more comfortable with his new environment. I would also start it with pellets as mine has also been eating that since the second day. I have a couple of 3" parot and two plecos as they were the first and I plan to keep them together. I know folks don't advise, but I so far so good. Good luck and keep us posted to "share notes" on these little guys...

Man, I thought my 3 times a day was enough. I couldn't imagine having to stop what I was doing to feed 42 times a day!!! Ha!!! Lol!!! Did the little Bwana come from New York off Aquabid? Maybe it a female. You could name it Twanna, The Little Bwanna. Anyone else know where to locate one right now? It's about time for them to show up for sale. It really sucks wind how they capture most of them. Frrom what I've read and heard, they net the male ,cut off its head, and retrieve the babies from the headless horseman of a father. Just terrible. I still would have to see it to believe that ANY of they Blk Aros are captive bred. One more question. What does carbon do to them? Suck out the nutrients from the water? Thanks.

Ok I'll remove the carbon do a 50% water change move everything out of the tank...it's wild caught so I'm kind of scared it'll die of stress. I'm keeping it solitary for now. Thanks!

Im no expert on Aros but I seem to pick up the vibe whenever I come here that people here hate carbon. IDK why, I rarely use power filters (sponge filters are the best solution) but when I do I always use carbon and it works great with no problems.
