Room temps. 70F would be tolerable. Anything higher than 70F is pushing it.

It also depends on where they are from though. If your bluegill is from the subtropical/tropical part of florida, then maybe just maybe you could keep it in a tropical tank.
 
i got my bluegill from a generally COLD pond. im keeping him in heated water with my tetra community. he LOVES warm water. hes really healthy and his colors are getting prettier. he spends most of his time by the heater. i guess he likes the heat. thanks for the compliments on the pic!:)
