This was about a week ago, last time I fed them blood worms. I have been trying to get them on pellets but so far only the two small Indos have accepted them smh. I’ve notice that they’re growing pretty fast since they started eating pellets, they used to be the smallest in the tank and now they’re catching up. Anybody have better luck getting them on pellets? Using Hikari Carnivore.

I usually start with Hikari food sticks. They float and get really spongy when they absorb water. I squirt them with a pipette to mimic the struggle of a wounded fish and if they’re used to live food, they go right for it. First couple times they’ll mouth it then spit it out. They’re getting used to the texture and eventually they’ll stop spitting it out.

This is how I pellet train all my picky fish that started on live food.

I have those as well, I’ll definitely give that a try. Appreciate it!

Thanks man, I’m still trying to do more but I’m liking the simplicity of it all hahah. That is my Hujeta Gar, not a true Gar and they only get to about 8 or so inches. He’s super docile and doesn’t chase my Dats around.
