They sure look like Mayans depending on the eye spot. But I wouldn't jump to any conclusions until they are 1-2".

At that size you can´t really tell from the eye spot. It is always in the middle but when they grow bigger 1.5-2" it should be off sided.
Actually at any size, once the eyespot becomes visible, you can always tell the difference between the two. Mayans eyespot are large and always goes from top to bottom. Festaes are always on the top half and small.

But at this size I do notice that the festae will have a horizontal line from head to tail that points to the eyespot. The vertical lines and the Y or 4 bar dont always show when small. The Mayans do not have this horizontal line. They only have the vertical lines that almost always never intersect.

Thanks all who responded... looks like I have three Mayan. Would have liked Fesate, but that is ok. I will grow these guys out some and post some more pics. Again, I was not actively looking for Fesate or I would have went through a reputable person... I went to buy some salt and seen these guys for $15. Right away I thought to myself that they were probably Mayan, but I was not sure at this size. My male Festae, who is in my avatar, I got from a LFS at about 3" last summer!!! Again, thanks for the imput.

Here are 2 pics of juvie Festae with the horizontal line I was talking about.

I'm starting to think I may have a festae or festae X RD/Midas.
My lil guy looks like a mix of the 2 fish in the pix above.
He's got the horizontal line(I call it a flowerline) off center tail spot, & his bars show up darker after a live meal or when he's chasing his tankmates.
I counted 6-8 vertical bars(he moves too quick), & the 2 1st bars form a Y.
He's not 1.5" anymore he's about 2.5" now.
I'll get a few pix when he's dark, but he's really camera shy.
The way he burrows, isn't like any of my other RD/Midas either.
He's the alpha, but he likes to hide a lot.
If anyone comes near his burrows, he'll chase them off.
His area is basically right in the center(back) of the tank.
