Baby Festae?? I hope so!!!

I'm starting to think I may have a festae or festae X RD/Midas.
My lil guy looks like a mix of the 2 fish in the pix above.
He's got the horizontal line(I call it a flowerline) off center tail spot, & his bars show up darker after a live meal or when he's chasing his tankmates.
I counted 6-8 vertical bars(he moves too quick), & the 2 1st bars form a Y.
He's not 1.5" anymore he's about 2.5" now.
I'll get a few pix when he's dark, but he's really camera shy.
The way he burrows, isn't like any of my other RD/Midas either.
He's the alpha, but he likes to hide a lot.
If anyone comes near his burrows, he'll chase them off.
His area is basically right in the center(back) of the tank.

yea it sound like you have a true Festae. My Festaes have the vertical lines....also some times they got what looks like a flower line...and then they stripe up when chasing fish out or their territory. Also just like yours, my alpha also hides a lot buy colors up and comes out when other fish gets in his way.
