Looks like more of a brown to me, but it’s still pretty small to 100% determineSpecifically, OP's fish is a yellow bullhead.
Hard to tell lol, I agree it’s not a yellow as they have lighter lower barbels, like my yellow who has white/ light yellow barbels, he also cut his lower gill area and there is like a hole (I have rocks), he gets scared easily and panicks when there are vibrations, I have younger brothers and all they do is run and stomp, any way to treat this? I already put some pond melafix and pond stresscoatBlackbullhead is going by the chin barbel color. Hard to see but chances are they are light colored in the OP's picture on the 4th page https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/baby-flathead-catfish.755495/post-8499036
Yellow, as you know, are the only bullhead with lighter colored chin / mandibular barbels.
So I stand corrected too, although I didn't spend any time trying to ID the bullhead species.
I recommend making a thread in the illness area for your fish so we don’t continually hijack this threadHard to tell lol, I agree it’s not a yellow as they have lighter lower barbels, like my yellow who has white/ light yellow barbels, he also cut his lower gill area and there is like a hole (I have rocks), he gets scared easily and panicks when there are vibrations, I have younger brothers and all they do is run and stomp, any way to treat this? ? Blackbullhead (and I) think it is a yellow....I agree it’s not a yellow ....
I see dark barebels? I also read it wrong too unless you are talking about the smaller barbels lol? Blackbullhead (and I) think it is a yellow.
So light colored lower lower barbels=yellow bullhead got it my bad lol, I see mine with the light colored barbels so I know what you are talking about now,What you see in the photo are two black nasal barbels and the left black maxillary (upper jaw) barbel and we only guess that the mandibular (chin) barbels are light colored because they are not clearly seen in the photo obscured by the bottom of the photo tank.
