Vent shots are out of focus, need a better close up to determine sex. Looks male to me as well, but I have also seen some pretty sexy female FH that could have easily fooled me by just their appearance.

This is the very first time I've heard anyone talk about the "attachment and structure of the kok" as being a gender determinant -- is this your own theory or did you read it somewhere?

Not to pick at a scab, but I have never heard of this before either, and would also be interested in where T The Silvs came up with this idea? If this was true, it should apply to all cichlids that have nuchal humps, yet again, I have never heard, read, or seen evidence of such a thing? No need for anyone to stomp off in anger, I am quite certain that like many of us here islandguy11 just wants correct info being shared on MFK. I'm always up for learning new things!

True true. They are crap pics. I will most better pics taken by a better camera. my current cam has some focusing issues it seems.
