A good sand filter, Pt skimmer and ozone do wonders for large systems.

Yeah that - and natural de-nitrification agents such as live rock(cured), Live Sand, & Macro-algea, would also be very helpful.

After all - the World's Greatest Filtration system - is found in the World's largest Natural "Aquarium" - Which we call the OCEAN ;)

Can I put 2 of them (less than 18") in a 560? If I had 2 12" leos, how long would they last in a 560?

I still haven't received an answer regarding my original question. If I have 2 12" Leos, how long would they last in my 560?

With my experiance with Leopards at various sizes, cool water temperatures are a most don't let anyone tell you waters in the 70's will be ok, also I don't believe any glass / acrylic tank should hold a Leopard unless its a custom oval or something circular. Even at 12" once you see a 12" Leopard in a tank under 500 gallons you will realize that even though its small it still requires a pond / pool / lagoon of atleast 1,000 gallons at that size.

Yeah - actually your original Question has been answered.

As Matt & others have stated - a private aquarist can't keep a leopard shark that's under 36" long in the United States - it's highly illegal to attempt to do so.

Instead of attempting to keep a couple of 12" Leos - try grey smoothies. Although they still won't last long in that tank .
