-So, obvioulsy, I want my new baby oscars to grow up happy and healthy. I do an extremely good job of cleaning my tank and keeping up on water changes, so water quality is very high almost always. They are in my 6 ft 85 gallon tank all alone so the only thing to harm them is eachother (which they are all best friends right now). Temp is right around 78-79 Degrees ferenheit. I am pretty sure everything I listed is about spot on for the next year (until they're too big to be together). My main question is in regards to their diet. (as per the title). I currently have to grush up the pellets I have into small pieces because I don't want to go buy baby pellets haha but this is the list of their pellets :
-Hikari Cichlid: Cichlid Gold
-Hikari Cichlid: Cichlid Staple (Growth Formula)
-New Life Spectrum Cichlasoma Formula
-Omega One Cichlid Pellets
-Cobalt Aquatics Shrimp Pellets
I have equal parts of each food crushed up into one bowl, and at feeding time I just give them a little bit at a time until they won't eat anymore, and I will usually give them a pinch whenever they're begging when I walk by. Is this good for now or should I implement some frozen foods (I have frozen baby brine shrimp). Any suggestions or am I good for now? thanks!
